2016-17 Premier League - Leicester City vs Southampton

After a second, and even more impressive, win in the Champions Leagues, Leicester return to Premier League duty at the King Power Stadium when they host Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Unlike their so far excellent Champions League campaign - where they look every bit the champions of England - their defence of their national title has got off to a poor start. It's not exactly a surprise, given that nobody expected them to become champions in the first place, but the tight defensive work from last season is long gone. They conceded four goals against both Liverpool and Man Utd, and they need to keep some clean sheets to settle their nerves again.

A win over Southampton might well settle those nerves, as well as potentially jumping them into the top half of the table. Leicester may be underperforming a bit, but their home record is still admirable, and they have not lost there in the league since September last year. They have also conceded just one goal at home this season.

The best odds we could find on a Leicester win are 5/4 over at ToteSport.

That said, Southampton have already begun to turn their season around after a slow start. They haven't conceded in five games in all competitions, and they won four of those. Charlie Austin is also firing on all cylinders, and looking to score in three successive Premier League games for the first time since December 2014.

The best place to back Southampton to win is at BoyleSports, offering a very decent 13/5.

All told, our feeling is that Leicester should be able to win this one after their impressive performance against Porto midweek. If their defence on Sunday is as good as it was on Wednesday then they should be able to win to nil, and the best place to back that is at Coral, at a tempting 5/2.

2016-17 Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur vs Man City

We're only six games in but there are only two undefeated sides left in the Premier League this season. They are, unsurprisingly, currently first and second in the league table, and they meet at White Hart Lane this Sunday in what should be a thrilling match.

Man City travel to London seeking to maintain their 100% winning league record. Their 100% season record went midweek in their rather surprising 3-3 draw against Celtic in the Champions League, but this game represents their chance to really break away at the top. A victory would also make Pep Guardiola the first manager to win his first seven Premier League matches, which would surely be a sweet feeling for the Spaniard.

City are the highest scoring team in the league so far this year, and we wouldn't be surprised to see that continue this weekend. The best place to back them is at Ladbrokes, at a reasonable 29/20.

That said, Tottenham are the stingiest team in the league this year, having conceded just three goals so far. Guardiola himself has said that he considers Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino one of the best managers in the world, and he admires the way his team are playing. With both teams missing a key player - Kane in Spurs case, de Bruyne for City - we think this game might come down to who can best adapt to life without them.

For our money, Spurs are the best of the two at sticking to their style and their game plan. The best place to back them is at PaddyPower, offering a very decent 21/10.

Finally, when the top scoring team meet the tightest defence, something's got to give. The way City have played this year, we suspect they are going to have the edge. The best place to back City to Win to Nil is at SkyBet, at a tempting 4/1.
