They may have been one of the relegation favourites at the start of the Premier League season, but Norwich City are impressing many with their recent form and it is having a say on the relegation EPL betting market.
The Canaries are still expected to be in the mix for relegation of course, but after eight games they sit 9th in the Premier League on the back of three wins from four games. Not exactly relegation form, many will agree.
It isn't just the points Norwich have got on the board that has impressed though. It is the way they have gone about their business in the top flight. They look at ease, they look comfortable and they look - particularly on home soil - that they can hold their own against most teams in this league.
The one genuine blemish during an otherwise encouraging start was a 1-0 reverse at home to West Brom last month, but it is from this game that Paul Lambert's men have gone on a decent run.
Other than the defeat to the Baggies, the other two losses have come at the hands of Chelsea and Manchester United. Then, in both of these games Norwich held their own for large periods and could have got a point for their troubles.
So all in all, it has been a very good start for the Carrow Road outfit and it has shaken up the relegation betting market somewhat.
They are no longer one of the three favourites to go down, with that honour going to Swansea, Wigan and Blackburn instead. Norwich are fourth most likely to go down, but they will hope to drift further and further away from this market as the weeks progress.
Next up for them is a trip to Liverpool this weekend. This is a very tough challenge of course, but with the way they have been playing, Norwich will relish it and hope to show Kenny Dalglish's men what they are capable off.
Victory over Swansea at the weekend has taken the pressure off this trip to Liverpool too. The worst that can happen is a defeat which sends them down to 13th in the Premier League. It wouldn't exactly be crisis time would it?
