Leicester are one of the most confusing teams in the country right now. Despite fielding almost exactly the same lineups in the Premiership and in the Champions League, it's as though two entirely different sides are running out
Domestic league Leicester are, not exactly a shadow of last year's side, but certainly diminished, with decidedly mixed results leaving then on fewer than half the points of current league leaders Man City. Champions League Leicester, by contrast, are taking to the highest level of European club competition as though they were born to do it. They haven't faced any of Europe's biggest sides, and they haven't scored any spectacular victories, but their slow and steady progression of low scoring wins while for the most part keeping clean sheets is strongly reminiscent of their march to the title last season.
Claudio Ranieri has said this week that the difference in these Leicester performances is making him angry, and this week will undoubtedly be a match he wants to win. Crystal Palace were relegation battlers last season, but so far in 2016-17 they've done some good work. They sit ninth in the table, three points ahead of Leicester, and looking solid.
Leicester need to bring their real form back home for this one, and we think they can probably do it. The best place to back them is at PaddyPower, who are offering a decent 11/10.
That said, Palace have shown real skill this season. Despite going down 1-0 to West Ham last time out, Palace's performances have been very much those of a side who look comfortable in the mid table.
Leicester might find them hard to break down, and the best place to back the away team for the win is at Ladbrokes, who are offering a very reasonable 3/1.
All in all, we think this one should be Leicester's victory, and furthermore should look a lot more like the Leicester of last season. The best place to back Leicester to Win to Nil is at Coral, who are offering the best price we've seen at 12/5.
