We are now just hours away from the 39th Ryder Cup taking place from the Medinah Country Club, Illinois.
The pairings have now been announced for the first session of the tournament and it gives a good indicator as to which team looks to be the strongest.
The first day is extremely important and the odds are sure to change yet again at the end of play on Friday evening.
Davis Love III looks to have chosen some superb pairings, none more so than Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods – who are the last two on the course in the first session.
Woods is likely to be one of the key men in this Ryder Cup. He has been below par in the tournament in recent years and now this is his time to shine.
As for Europe, Jose Maria Olazábal is sending his main man, Rory McIlroy, out first with his fellow Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell.
These two seem to have a great understanding together and will be looking to get Europe off to the perfect start.
At the moment, the travelling side are at 13/8 with Stan James to retain the trophy. As mentioned, the start is key and McIlroy and McDowell are the favourites to get the first point of the Ryder Cup with odds 18/19.
With plenty of twists and turns expected between now and Sunday when the tournament finishes, make sure you done miss a moment.
The first pairings to step onto the Medinah Course are as follows:
Rory McIlroy & Graeme McDowell v Jim Furyk & Brandt Snedeker
Luke Donald & Sergio García v Phil Mickelson & Keegan Bradley
Lee Westwood & Francesco Molinari v Jason Dufner & Zach Johnson
Ian Poulter & Justin Rose v Steve Stricker & Tiger Woods
Bring on the action!
