We've looked at the 15:50 in another post, but we're just as interested in the rest of the racing at Newmarket this Saturday. We've gone through the card to pick out some bets that we think you might find tempting.
My Target is current favourite in the 14:05, and is a horse well worth backing for the win. Our eye was drawn further down the listings, though, to Take A Note. He hasn't won since he took a hat trick over 7f in the summer of 2014, but despite his patchy form this season he really impressed when staying on to fourth despite significant trouble last time out.
His form overall has seen him drop quite dramatically in the weights since his heyday, but with performances like that still in him and that weight advantage to boot we think he's worth a look each way here. The best place to back him is at BoyleSports, at a very tempting 11/1.
The 15:15 sees a pair of unexposed Godolphin horses going up against one another and the rest of the field, and it's hard to say who we think you should back. Wave Reviews has come along nicely and probably has more to give, but it's always tempting to go with a Godolphin horse, even when their ability is hard to gauge.
Of the two G K Chesterton is currently by far the favourite, with odds as low as Evens in some places. With little to choose between the two to our eyes, though, we're leaning towards Huge Future as the one to back, at the slightly longer odds of 3/1 available at SkyBet.
Finally, in the 16:25 it's hard to choose between the three front runners as to who we'd put our money on. Bahamian Dollar, Excellent George, and Ice Age all have their qualities, but of the three we think Ice Age is probably our preferred candidate.
With a long run of high placed finishes and what may well have been a win had he gotten a clear run last time out, he looks like a sound choice off just 2lb higher, and the best place to back him is at BetFred, at a very decent 5/1.
