Saturday Racing - York

We've looked at the BetFred Ebor in another post but there's plenty of racing still to be had at York on Saturday. We've been through the card to find our pick of the odds.

In the 14:50 we're tempted by Forth Bridge. His form has progressed nicely up to getting off the mark at his third and most recent attempt. He impressed coming back after being headed, and his dam took victory over 2m so this step up from 1m 4f to 1m 6f could be easily within his compass.

We think he's well worth a look and the best place to back him is at SkyBet, at a market leading 10/1.

The 15:25 looks like being a head to head battle between Blue Point and Mubtasim. Blue Point has the form for sure, having won two and then taken a second place when not looking at home at Goodwood. If the going stays good he is absolutely going to be in it at the finish, but we're still leaning more towards Mubtasim. He's undefeated thus far, and his two victories came over this distance and on good turf.

Trainer William Haggas has an excellent record in this one, and we don't think he'd have entered Mubtasim if he didn't think he could take another win. The best place to back that is at BetFred, who are offering a very decent 9/2.

Finally, Sutter County is the favourite in the 16:35, but our feeling is that Afandem might edge this one. Sutter County is just back from injury and may surprise us, but Afandem clearly loves the 5f distance and the 3lb difference in the weights doesn't look like it's going to be such a great penalty to him here.

He's gone two for two at this distance on soft and good to soft, and we fancy him to take his hat trick here. The best place to back that is at Ladbrokes, who'll give you the best price we've found at 7/2.

Saturday Racing - York BetFred Ebor

The BetFred Ebor is the biggest race of the day at York this Saturday, and we've looked through the card to find you the best odds on our pick of the runners.

Antiquarium is currently favourite, though by no means short at the bookies as a result. His position at the top of the table is to a great extent influenced by his victory in the Northumberland Plate, where he came in with a late run to steal the victory. He looked like an improver last season and that victory confirmed that he may well still have more to give. He's up 6lb but if he can produce more then he's definitely one to watch here.

The best place to back him is at BoyleSports, currently offering a market leading price of 7/1.

Antiquarium is a promising horse, but we do have some concerns over the higher weight and shorter trip. Perhaps his nearest rival in the field is Heartbreak City. Heartbreak impressed over 2m at this meeting last year. He didn't have the best of times in the Chester Cup but there are reasons for ignoring that result, and his victory at Galway showed real promise for improvement.

It's led to a big rise in the weights, but we think he's still a good pick at 11/1 over at ToteSport.

Finally, a little further down the listings, She Is No Lady looks like the pick of the runners purely on this season's form, and with Frankie Dettori onboard plus a good draw in stall five she has got to be a horse worth a second look.

She's a winner over this distance, albeit on an all weather surface, and she has yet to show her full potential. She's up another 6lb based on her recent results but being less than fully exposed over this distance we think she could surprise the field on the day.

The best place to back her is at Coral, at the market leading price of 11/1.
