Monday Racing - Wolverhampton

The racing at Wolverhampton on Monday evening looks like being a mixed bag, but there's plenty of potential to find value in the running. We've looked through the card to bring you the best odds we could find.

To start with, there are three horses vying to be favourite in the 18:10. We'd be the first to acknowledge that this is probably not a particularly strong maiden, but a couple of those horses pique our interest. Of all the runners with prior experience, Gerrard's Return looks to be the best, but our feeling is that the inexperienced runner Wadood is likely to be the one to back here. He comes from connections who have a 33% strike rate with juveniles so far in 2016, and although untested we think that ratio makes Wadood a tempting pick.

The best place to back him is at ToteSport, at a decent 15/8.

An hour later at 19:10, current favourite What Usain looks like the closest thing to a cert all evening. He always seems to run well here, and his reappearence five weeks ago saw him run to second place at this track over 8.5f. Now that he's brushed off the cobwebs with that run, this drop back to 7f really shouldn't pose any problems at all, and his previous hattrick over course and distance suggests your money would be well placed.

The best site to place it is Coral, priced at 15/8.

Finally, in the 19:40, we're taking the opposite view to the bookies. While Yasir has done very well over course and distance this year, last month he looked like he was about to be beaten by Kissy Suzuki before she unseated her rider close to the finish. This time round we fancy her to reverse that form, especially running 5lb lower than her last handicap outing.

The best place to pick up the filly is at Ladbrokes, at a very decent 4/1.
