Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic Preview

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic go up against each other in the ATP World Tour Finals on Wednesday at the 02 Arena in London. This tournament starts off with two groups of four and then goes into semi-finals and finals, so although a win is what is wanted - it is not essential.

With both Murray and Djokovic winning their opening encounters, this match could have a big say on who finishes on top of the table and gets the better draw for the semis.

It was the Serbian who looked to be in the best form in the opening match with a straight set win over Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, whilst Murray needed to come back from a set down to see off Tomas Berdych.

This match is now sure to bring the crowds in though and the 02 is likely to be packed to watch two of the best players in the world go head-to-head in this tournament that is the season finale of tennis.

The Brit of course has the advantage of having the crowd supporting him on Wednesday and he will be desperate for success in London after his defeat at Wimbledon earlier in the year.

Djokovic is such a professional though and has made winning tournaments a habit over recent years, and will want to end what has been a fairly frustrating year on a high.

If we look at some of the betting offers doing the rounds for this match, it is Djokovic that is the favourite with odds of 31/40 with Sportingbet.

You can then back a Murray win at 6/5, but if you want more value on a win for the Scotsman, then a 2-1 win for him is being offered at 18/5 with BetVictor.

US Open - Murray to ease into the quarter-finals?

Andy Murray goes up against Milos Raonic in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the round of 16 at Flushing Meadows.

This US Open looks to be one of the best chances for the British number one to win a Grand Slam title as he seems to be in the best form of his career.

Murray has got better as the tournament has gone on and has dropped just one set so far. He will be targeting a victory in straight sets here to keep himself fresh for the quarter-finals.

However, the Scotsman will know that this is likely to be his toughest encounter of the US Open so far and he will yet again need to raise his game.

After the success Murray had at the Olympic Games last month he is now sure to have the confidence to go all the way. He defeated both number one and two seeds Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic at London 2012, something he is sure to need to do again if he is to take the trophy.

As for Milos Raonic, he will know what a tough task he has on his hands to make the final eight.

However, the Canadian has also been impressive at Flushing Meadows this year and has only dropped sets in his first round match.

Raonic is just 21-years-old so certainly looks to have a bright future in tennis and can go into this one with the pressure somewhat off him and can really look to attack his opponent.

In terms of the latest betting offers for this encounter – it is no surprise that Andy Murray is the big favourite to progress with odds of 6/17.

Some better value for the Brit could be to back him to win in 3-1which is available at 16/5 with Sportingbet.

Raonic is then being offered at 5/2 with SkyBet to reach the quarter-finals.
